Songbird is a location-based, ambient narrative journey that debuted at the Singapore Arts Festival 2012. Using real life locations, an original soundtrack and short films, the audience is plunged headfirst into a tale of deceit, aspiration, obsession and love.
Audiences use a dynamic iOS app to navigate through narrative checkpoints, scanning QR codes and triggering GPS markers on their phone to uncover more of the story.
Songbird was created and produced by creative collective Studio Now & Then, which consists of artists Tara Tan, Lisa Cheong, Victoria Ho, and David Shiyang Liu.
David designed the app, consulted on the script, and directed some of the short films for Songbird.
