Delighted to announce that 5Films just won Best Editing for the first ever Singapore Short Film Awards! Much kudos to Jack, whom evidently, isn’t just an awesome Producer anymore.

’5Films’ takes home ‘Best Cinematography’ from this year’s Silver Screen Awards at the 22nd Singapore International Film Festival. Kudos to DP Simon Walsh, who could not attend the ceremony, but will be getting the trophy, hopefully in person when Dave has the cash to fly back to Melbourne for a holiday…

’5films’ is now part of Festival de Cannes Short Film Corner 2009, which will be held as part of the Festival de Cannes from May 15th to 23rd.
David will be going down, so if you’re in the area, feel free to hit him up there!

Good news! ’5films’ will be screening at more festivals!
The first one would be held at Boston International Film Festival, 23rd April.
It will later screen at Colorado Springs’ Indie Spirit Film Festival, which takes place from 24th to the 26th of April, although the exact date has not been confirmed yet.

’5films’ was picked as one of 9 finalists from 90 submissions, and is competiting for awards in Best Film, Best Director, Best Performance, Best Cinematography, and Special Mention.
